Since April 2025, Shopify no longer lets you integrate Stripe directly. The change hit entrepreneurs around the world, including 98% of users from CIS countries who relied on Stripe to accept payments from Europe and the US.

How the MakeItEarn Team Solved the Problem

We flagged the issue to Nijat Feyzi, a Shopify Milestone award holder, and he reached out to Shopify directly. As a result, MakeItEarn subscribers can once again integrate Stripe with Shopify, restrictions notwithstanding.

Step 01Change the Country in Your Settings

Billing address settings in Shopify

Go to Settings → General → Billing address and change the address and country to any CIS country. For example, you can use an address in Azerbaijan, as shown in the screenshot.

Go to Settings → Payments and copy the admin URL from your browser's address bar. It looks like this:

https://admin.shopify.com/store/mystorename/settings/payments

Shopify admin link

Now add a snippet to the end of the link that opens the hidden Stripe integration page. It's free - just copy it:

third-party-providers/39813121

The full link will look like this:

https://admin.shopify.com/store/mystorename/settings/payments/third-party-providers/39813121

Step 03Complete the Integration

Stripe integration page in Shopify

Paste the full link into the address bar and press Enter. A new Stripe integration page will open - one you can't reach the usual way. Click Install, choose your Stripe account, and you're all set to accept payments from customers in Europe and the US with no restrictions.
